California regulators are considering a significant reduction in battery-powered and hydrogen vehicles that automakers have to produce in California.

Diddy’s Drama
Sean “Diddy” Combs is pissed, according to TMZ. The L.A. Times’ Web site ran an article on March 17 saying Sean “Diddy” Combs had advanced knowledge of an attack on Tupac Shakur. Combs’ attorney tried to talk the L.A. Times out of publishing the article but the paper disregarded concerns and published it anyway.

A lawsuit is about to be filed against the state for cutting Medi-cal by 10%. Doctor fees will be cut by 10%, which could mean more doctors will not accept Medi-cal patients and that could force patients to go to the E-R for care.

Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick and former top aide aide Christine Beatty were charged today with perjury and other felony charges under allegations of lying about their alleged affair under oath.
Both Beatty and Kilpatrick were released on $75,000 personal bond.

Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick faces 12 charges including perjury, conspiracy and willful misconduct while in office.
Kilpatrick’s former aide, Christine Beatty, was also charged with 12 counts in the text-messaging scandal.
Though the mayor is facing intense pressure to resign his attorney, Dan Webb is recommending that Kilpatrick stay on and fulfill his term as mayor.

Firefighters Combat Morning Fire
Early this morning along the 6200 blocks of Canoga Avenue firefighters battled a block-long fire that engulfed a five-story condominium building under construction in Warner Center.More than 200 firefighters worked to bring the blaze under control by 10 a.m. There were no reports of injuries.
