A gallup pole conducted between March 14th and 18th showed that Democratic and Democratic-leaning voters were more inclined to vote for Clinton.

The national survey used sample of 1,209 voters.  Clinton came out on top with a 49 percent to 42 percent advantage over Obama.

What is a Gallup Poll?

A Gallup Poll is an opinion poll that is run by the Gallup Organization. It’s named after George Gallup, a statistician who invented the Gallup Poll.

Today, the Gallup Poll uses random digit dialing to collect samples. What came random digit dialing? Door to door interviews.

The Gallup Poll in past elections:

Carter Vs. Ford (1976) : The day before the election, the Gallup Poll showed that Ford held a 1 point advantage over carter. Carter won the election.

Bush Vs. Gore (2000): While Gore won the popular vote, the Gallup Poll predicted President Bush as the election winner.

    Can’t trust polls to predict the winner, especially this early, but what it does show is dissatisfaction with Obama’s “answer.”
