Human trafficking is alive in Los Angeles.
Tonight at 11, see the story of Maribel Vasquez.  The FBI says she tricks young girls (some as young as 13) from Guatemala into coming to the U.S.  Federal agents say Vaquez pretends to have nanny or domestic jobs for the girls, but instead, she forces them to work as sex slaves.

Firefighters are battling flames that broke out in the Santa Anita Canyon in Sierra Madre, Calif., this Saturday.
Working over the weekend firefighters lost ground Sunday night and reported that they had 23-percent containment Monday morning. The fire has consumed 490 acres forcing the evacuation of 1,000 Sierra Madre residents from 400 houses, according to Nathan Judy [...]

  LAUSD (School District) will conduct an internal investigation into whether employees are following water safety policies after pressure from an exclusive investigation from KNBC’s Joel Grover. On Tuesday, Brewer thanked KNBC for bringing the issue to the district’s attention.
