Mogreet.com is a brand new start up out of Venice. CEO James Citron talked with us Monday about his new, unique form of communication that goes beyond the limitations of text messaging. There are over 2,000 Mogreets, many including messages from celebrities, musicians and sports figures. You can express yourself with humor, and emotion than standard text messaging to their friends and family, via a mobile phone.
Head over to Mogreet.com, select a canned video message you want to send to someone (like tia tequila breaking up with your boy/girlfriend), pay 99 cents, and your friends get the video message.
You can even send a video message to the presidential candidates. On President’s Day they kicked off a nationwide “Mogreet the Vote” campaign – targeting youth voters and giving them the opportunity to deliver messages on issues most important to them directly to the presidential candidates. The company has supplied each of the Communication Directors at the presidential candidates campaign sites with a Mogreet mobile phone (for the sole purpose of receiving the Mogreets from consumers) and users are going to www.mogreetthevote.com to send their messages.
