5000 took on the streets of Hollywood today to observe what they recognize as the Armenian Genocide. In marching, the protesters want to recognize those who died during the Armenan Genocide, and also call on the Turkish government to admit responsibility for the slaughter of about 1.5 million people during WWI. Today, Turkey still questions the number of deaths and denies it was a genocide.

The protestors were accompanied by police officers who blocked streets. The march was a peaceful one, and was organized by the Armenian Youth Federation. The walk scaled Sunset Boulevard, Western Avenue, Hollywood Boulevard and Normandie Avenue.

    Turkey NEEDS to be held accountable for what they have done. It was a GENOCIDE and we will NEVER FORGET!!!
