Inglewood Rattlesnake Attacks
11Jun08
A 22-year-old man was hospitalized in fair condition Wednesday after being treated for a bite by a rattlesnake that he picked up off the ground at Edward Vincent Park in Inglewood.
KNBC.COM Reports: “The man, who apparently had been drinking, found the baby snake slithering through the grass at Edward Vincent Park late Tuesday night, said Inglewood police. “He picked up the snake, and got bit” on the hand, he said. The victim put the snake in a bucket, then put the bucket in a bag in the trunk of his car, Ferreira said. He tried to drive himself to a hospital but became increasingly ill and pulled over to the side of the road and called 911.”
